There is no point for night on this server since the mid-purge wipe is gone. Nobody needs the cover of night for antiing anymore, and general PvP is just PvP zone edge camping, so even more reason to get rid of the night as well. Not to mention, people who like to build are hindered by the night, and a lot more.

Night is currently set to 5 minutes, and with dusk/dawn transitions it totals around 8 minutes overall—that’s just how Rust handles its cycle. We’ve kept it short intentionally so it doesn’t interfere too much with PvP or building, while still keeping some variety in the environment.
